About Us
We started Local Music Hub after countless conversations and the realization that in Silicon Valley, while innovation thrives, local live entertainment is struggling. This area has the talent (yes, plenty of tech folks are also musicians since math minds often pair naturally with music) and the money, yet most nights out still end the same way: you eat, and then you head home. We focus on intimate smaller venues because in a place like the Bay Area with very expensive rent, they often prioritize static table space over the fun atmosphere that live music brings, even on slow nights. We built this platform because we want to prove that a vibrant, accessible local entertainment scene doesn't have to be a luxury, and we want to inspire more venues to support our exceptional, but sometimes hidden local talent.
We are here not to only build a community, but to bridge the gaps between three disconnected audiences: the fans who don't know where to look; the bands struggling to find fair pay and professional stages; and the venues missing out on the kind of atmosphere that entertains customers and potentially boosts revenue. Starting here in the Bay Area, we want to be the central hub for this unification. Our calendar is easy to use; try it. We are telling the stories you don't yet know, the ones that might just inspire you to explore new places and support your local entertainment scene from the artists to the venues, featuring live music, DJ sets, stand-up comedy, and local theatre.
If you know a venue or a local performer, and you don't see them listed here, please reach out! We are always accepting submissions and will happily add any shows and venues that fit our focus and your needs.
